- Abstract:
- The data encompasses portions of Flathead and Lake Counties in northwestern Montana, covering the upper Flathead Valley, Polson, and the shorelines of Whitefish, Swan, and Flathead Lakes.
Each tile is an orthorectified natural color image collected from a Vexcel UltraCam XP camera. The pixel resolution of the imagery is 1 foot. The images were acquired between September 23 and September 25, 2009.

Data Quality Information:
- Logical consistency report:
- Photos were acquired with 60% overlap and 30% sidelap using Vexcel UltraCAM XP large format aerial mapping camera. Aerial photos were collected by Aero-Graphics.
- Completeness report:
- Orthophotography data has been collected and processed for all areas within the project study area.
- Horizontal Positional Accuracy Report:
- The orthoimagery was compiled to meet National Map Accuracy Standards:
Horizontal Accuracy: 1"=200' not more than 10% of all well defined planimetric features are in error by more than 4.0'.
Aerial Triangulation: RMSE tie points: 0.250' RMSE of GPS surveyed control targets: 0.249'
- Quantitative horizontal positional accuracy assessment:
- Horizontal positional accuracy value: Mean Value of standard deviation from AT adjustment: 0.591'
- Horizontal positional accuracy explanation:
- Aerial Triangulation: RMSE of tie points: 0.250' RMSE of GPS surveyed control targets: 0.249'
- Lineage:
- Process step:
- Acquisition.
The aerial photographs were collected from September 23-25, 2009. The survey used Vexcel UltraCam XP large format aerial mapping camera. Photos were collected at 60% overlap and 30% sidelap.

- Processing.
Aerial Triangulation was performed on the block of collected photographs. Surveyed aerial targets were used as ground control and used in conjunction with tie points (relative image points) to correctly place imagery relative to the ground surface. All imagery was orthorectified using the bare earth LiDAR surface model that was collected and processed with this dataset.
