2009_NAIP/State_Plane folder

This folder contains 12000x12000-meter square images clipped from the Compressed
County Mosaic version of the 2009 National Agricultural Imagery Program air
photos of Montana.  The images are in Montana State Plane NAD83 HARN coordinates
and the ground units are meters.

Each file is named with a row number and a column number as
shown at http://apps.msl.mt.gov/Geographic_Information/Data/Aerial_Photos/naip_2009_default.aspx and in the _Tile_Index_Shapefile.zip data set in this folder.

The dates the images were flown are shown in the _Naip_2009_Dates_Shapefile.zip
file in this folder.

Each image has four files associated with it:
  .sid -- this is the image file, in MrSID format
  .aux -- this is the spatial reference information file needed by older
          versions of ESRI's ArcGIS software.
  .sid.aux.xml -- this is the spatial reference information file created by
                  current versions of ArcGIS when the file is opened.
                  Nobody should need these files, but our ArcGIS software
                  keeps putting them here.
  .sdw -- this is the georeferencing "world" file that may be required by some
          software packages.
