The horizontal accuarcy is probably roughly comparable to that of a 1:12,000 scale map, or about 6 meters (20 feet). Montana Department of Transportation Unpublished material remote-sensing image 12000 filmstrip 19771028 ground condition The photography was flown at an altitude of 6,000 feet above mean terrain. The camera was a 6" focal length Wild RC-10. The film was scanned with a Leica DSW500 aerial film scanner at a resolution of 80 microns, or 318 dots per inch, resulting in an approximate ground resolution of approximately 38 inches.
