Montana Lakes and Streams map
Abstract:
This layer contains lakes and wide streams selected from 1:100,000 scale US Census Bureau TIGER files. The featues were selected to approximately match data shown in USGS 1:2,000,000 scale DLG files.
In this layer, polygons may represent lakes or wide streams. These layers are intended for cartographic representation of lakes and streams rather than geographic analyses.
Feature names are mostly from the TIGER files. Some were obtained from from Montana DOT county maps and USGS topographic maps.
